Job Requirements & Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring that all correct bales are ready for shipment/delivery according to customers requirements. Accountable for each shipment, to get shipped correctly and timely to avoid any cost.

Job Requirements:

  • Grade12
  • 3- 4 yrs experience in a warehouse
  • 1-2 yrs administrative experience.
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
  • Experience in a shipping will be advantage.
  • Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
  • Computer skills
  • Forklift license (valid)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to perform under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.

Skills:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Highly developed attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Flexibility
  • Accountability

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate with logistical teams to ensure a smooth process of shipment.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Provide general administrative duties, like filling, making copies, and ensure correct shipments documentation are attached for shipment.
  • Inform Management of all containers that are ready for loading.
  • Updating of production figures and providing accurate information of shipping, vessel stats, number of containers per day/ per week.
  • Verification of container loads and assist with locating short bales.
  • Ensure that all bales are marked correctly!
  • Ensure that work procedures are followed to ensure that bales are transported safely!
  • Offloading/loading of all outside bales.
