Job Purpose and Impact
The Human Resources Operations Specialist – Payroll will contribute to payroll processes that align with company needs and follow government regulations. In this role, you will complete, verify and process forms and documentation to coordinate benefits, such as pension plans, group risk, medical insurance and employee assistance program. You will deliver accurate and detailed human resource administration that complies with country legislation and internal policies and procedures and provide high level service support to business functions, management and reporting. Key Accountabilities
Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues and benefit plans.
Help maintain and reconcile payroll records and verify and coordinate payroll data for South Africa, Nigeria and Zambia.
Basic payroll accounting.
Monitor and manage payroll legislation compliance.
Collect and report various types of leave.
General HR Administration and data management of employee records.
Organize and coordinate requests for employment contract changes.
Monitor activities related to new hires process.
Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and experience with HR databases
Proficient in English, verbal and written
Strong organisational skills is critical
Preferred Qualifications
Human resources related qualification
Minimum four years of directly related work experience
Minimum of two years of experience in human resources administration
Strong knowledge in Payroll Tax legislation
Sub – Saharan Africa Payroll experience is a plus
