Job Requirements & Responsibilities
Delmas Area – Mpumalanga: Our client is looking for two Field Extension Officers to join the team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding grower base and volumes, ensure compliance with company guidelines and provide technical support to growers.
Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Bachelors Agric Degree in Agronomy/Crop production or Crop Science
- Advantage will be given to applicants who are AVCASA and BASOS certified.
- At least 4 -6 years operational agricultural experience of which at least 4 years should be potato production related in a similar role advisory role
- Valid EB Drivers License (Code E)
- Exceptional knowledge and understanding of agricultural production systems and variables, e.g. crops, climate, disease, fertilization, irrigation, soils, etc.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, problem solving and relationship building skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced, and challenging operational environment. Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Strong technical potato knowledge
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to work productively in a stressful environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and results orientated
