Job Requirements & Responsibilities
ITB Flexible Packaging Solutions (ITB) is a flexible plastic packaging manufacturer and part of the Novus Holdings Group. ITB produces an array packaging for the FMCG and food markets. Its products include retail bags, security bags, FFS food packaging, heavy duty sacks and carrier bags which are distributed across South Africa and abroad.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop extrusion formulations to optimize product performance and machine efficiencies.
- Product and Process development.
- Efficiency improvements and waste reduction.
- Technical advice on new processes or process optimisation, not just in extrusion but throughout the factory
- Product Innovation
- Recommendations on capex
- Customer liaison on technical issues
Educational Requirements
- Diploma in Plastics manufacturing
- Polymer science/chemistry degree (BSc/B-Tech) or diploma
- Management diploma
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of five years’ experience in the manufacture of flexible plastic packaging is a non-
negotiable pre-requisite.
