Job Requirements & Responsibilities
Main purpose of position:
Main responsibilities
Monitor the global portfolio on a shift work basis to ensure a 24 hour coverage of the plants
Monitor and coordinate Plants under his/her control
- Monitoring of PV Plants in his allocated region
- Ensure timely response to operational events and alarms
- First-line investigation development
- Record keeping
- Ensure Plant Supervisors are informed in detail of occurrences on their plant
- Assist Senior Control Officer with managing resources
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the SSOM-PSR.
- Liaise with Senior Control Officer and ensure required communication and notices are done correctly and on time
- Assist with the monitoring and coordination of responses to significant events on the Plant(s)
- Assist with and coordinate emergency situations that poses a risk to the personnel and the Plant(s)
- Advise where needed on technical related issues with regards to CMC and Plant operations
- Assist the Plant Safety Engineer in his responsibilities and duties
- Assist with development, implementation and help maintain CMC processes and procedures
- Assist with development and implementation of CMMS system and subsequent outcomes
Data acquisition, analysis and reporting
- Monitor and keep record of all work on plant and plant performance
- Report on plant performance and plant activities
- Assist with general record keeping and reporting
- Align plant activities to CMMS system
- Ensure SCADA is operational
- Extract and compile data as required by other SSO departments and SSOM resources
Qualifications and competencies
- Qualified Electrician (Trade Test): Electrical Technician (NTD) or Higher
- Highly Computer Literate
- Sound IT and Network knowledge
- 3 years experience in LV & HV systems
- Work experience in the Renewable Energy environment
- Experience with reading and understanding technical diagrams and drawings
- Core (specific) renewable engineering and control competence
- CMMS/ERP system background
- Control and/or Monitoring Centre experience
- Maintenance planning
